The Hub was launched at the British Embassy Israel in October 2011 by Chancellor George Osborne, as an initiative of Ambassador Matthew Gould. Its creation followed an agreement between Prime Ministers David Cameron and Benjamin Netanyahu to build a UK-Israel partnership in technology, driven by a sense of a missed opportunity between the two countries and the tremendous potential of this partnership to drive economic
Our team works to position the UK as a natural partner of choice for Israel in technology, and to ensure the UK market can make full use of the breadth and quality of Israeli R&D and innovation. We operate via sector-specific activities in areas with unique synergies between the UK and Israel, mainly in the following sectors: Digital (internet / new media), Biomed, Cleantech, Arabic Internet, Government IT and Finance.
