Sophie has over 15 years of experience in the biomed industry. During this time she has worked for Israeli medical device manufacturers and was responsible for developing and managing their international sales via distribution networks

Yoni Dolgin, identifies specific opportunities for British companies and investors to partner with leading Israel-based cleantech firms. 

Gili Livne, Operations coordinator

Gili Livne works with all of the sectors on specific events and delegations and handles logistical matters for the Hub.

Ayelet Mavor is based in London and works in coordination with the Hub’s team in Tel Aviv to lead the Hub’s UK activities.

Dona Haj Mana'a, Creative Industries Manager

Haim Shani is General Partner of Israel Growth Partners, a recently launched fund focusing on companies with strong category leadership potential and clusters which are ripe for consolidation. 

 

Haim is the former Director General of the Israeli Finance Ministry and CEO of NICE Systems (NASDAQ: NICE). Shani was appointed non-executive Chairman of the Hub in February 2012.

 

Haim has vast experience in technology and particularly in the UK-Israel technology relationship, steering NICE’s growth through successful integration with several UK-based companies in the fields of telecom, enterprise software and finance.

 

During his eight years with NICE, one of Israel's most successful technology companies, he was selected as one of the top ten CEOs in Israel by Dun & Bradstreet.

 

Haim came to NICE from Applied Materials (Israel), where he served as VP of its Israeli business. He previously held various management positions at Orbotech Ltd., Scitex Corporation and IBM Israel.

 

Shani holds a Bachelors degree in Industrial and Management Engineering from the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and an MBA from INSEAD, France.   

Naomi began her career as an Assistant Economist at the Bank of Israel Research Department, and then worked as an investment banker for Lehman Brothers in Tel Aviv and New York, advising Israeli and global technology companies looking to access capital markets or conduct mergers and acquisitions.

 

After a brief stint at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, she returned to Israel to take the position of Executive Director of STRIVE Israel, a 'social start-up’ founded by JDC Israel to help unemployed Israelis of diverse backgrounds develop meaningful careers and financial independence. She then was Director of Strategy and Operations at the Taub Centre for Social Policy Studies in Israel.

 

Naomi holds a BA in Economics and International Relations from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a Masters in Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She is a graduate of the IDF's HAMAN TALPIOT programme.

Saul is a partner at the London office of Index Ventures. He currently serves on the boards of companies and organisations including Chartbeat, Codecademy, Seedcamp and Soluto. 

 

Saul brings over 15 years of experience successfully building and exiting companies in both the US and Europe as an entrepreneur, operator and seed investor. Most recently, he was the co-founder and original CEO at what is now Lovefilm International and part of the original executive team at Skype.

 

Saul loves working with seed and early stage companies and is a passionate believer that Europe is only scratching the surface in terms of its potential for entrepreneurs to create great startups. To support this vision, since 1999 he has been a founding partner of The Accelerator Group (TAG) and in 2007 he also started Seedcamp and OpenCoffee Club, which is now active in over 90 cities around the world.

 

Prime Minister Cameron announced the appointment of Saul Klein as the UK's Tech Envoy to Israel in December 2012. Saul works to promote the growing UK-Israel tech partnership  together with the UK Israel Tech Hub and as a member of the UK Israel Tech Council.

Tali supports the Hub’s outreach and business development activity in the UK. Her previous experience includes commercial law and working in a number of prominent Israeli start-ups in business development positions.
