A Healthier Online Environment

 

A content startup based in Israel is a leader in providing online health information in Arabic – information that caters to the needs 300 million Arabic-speaking internet users.

 

The challenge

The company needed constantly-updated, professional and accessible content while maintaining a sustainable revenue model.

 

How we helped

As part of its efforts to connect Arabic language start-ups with British companies and investors, in early 2014 the Hub launched the Go Global program in Nazareth. The company participated in the program's entrepreneurship workshop and the subsequent delegation to London, where it met leading British content and media providers. One such major organization, which specializes in healthcare content, was impressed with the Israeli company and asked for follow-up meetings.

 

The outcome

In September 2014, the Israeli company and the British organization signed a partnership agreement. The healthcare organization will provide its content to the Israeli company, which in turn will translate and localize it, thus exposing it to millions of Arabic speaking internet users.
